LARGER COLLECTORS CABINETS
Our larger cabinets are based on our popular Thimble Cabinets for 150 thimbles, which is the same cabinet as our slim Collectors cabinet.
The front door is a picture frame about 2" wide (50mm) and is available in oak, mahogany, and a dark polished wood, or alternatively a gold coloured frame, to your choice. A 'plastic' glass is used. Other 'front door' arrangements are also available
THIMBLE CABINETS. The shelves are fixed at 1.3/8"(35mm) spacing, although alternative spacing can be made at the time of ordering, and are 1" deep, and 3/8" (9mm) thick. This will give a capacity of 80 - 90 thimbles per square foot of cabinet ( or about 850 per square Meter) Thus a cabinet 2ft x 2ft (600mm x 600mm) holds about 350 thimbles. The cabinet is supplied with brass wall mounting plates.
SPOON CABINETS. Larger cabinets for spoons normally hold about 14 to 16 spoons per Sq. foot of cabinet, e.g. a 2ft x 2ft 6 inch cabinet will hold 70 spoons.
MINIATURE WHISKY CABINETS. Larger cabinets for miniature whisky bottles normally hold about 14 bottles per Sq. foot of cabinet, e.g. a 2ft x 2ft 6inch cabinet will hold 70 miniature bottles.
Other spacing for the shelves to suit your own collections are available. Not all the spaces have to be the same, we can make the spaces to suit your requirements. ( Wider shelves are also available, please enquire.)
The back of the cabinet would normally be red or cream baize, (other colours are available as an extra), plywood is also available at £10. extra
These cabinets can be made any size to suit your requirements, and are priced at a basic cost of £90 plus £13 per square foot of cabinet. Thus a cabinet 2ft wide by 2ft high holding about 350 thimbles would cost £142. ( Or 2ft x 2'6" costing £155 would hold 450 thimbles or 70 spoons or 70 miniature whisky bottles)
The largest cabinet normally available is about 5 sq ft ( 2ft x 2ft 6ins)
For safe shipping these cabinets will be packed between two sheets of 3mm Hardboard as a standard charge of £25 including postage. Cabinets which are too large for posting will only be available when suitable collection / delivery arrangements can be made
